REDUCE RISK OF PCOS IN YOUR DAUGHTERS... DIET WHILST PREGNANT

  1. Plenty of fruit and vegetables a day
  2. Complex carbohydrates – whole grains like brown rice, oats and wholemeal bread
  3. Organic foods where possible
  4. Oily foods such as fish, nuts, seeds and oils
  5. Avoid trans fats (biscuits, fast food, cake, ready meals Increase your intake of fibre
  6. More fish and organic eggs than red meat
  7. Avoid additives, preservatives and chemicals such as artificial sweeteners
  8. Reduce or avoid sugar, both on its own and hidden in food
  9. Reduce or eliminate caffeine, e.g. coffee, tea, chocolate, colas and alcohol
  10. Eliminate processed foods as much as possible
  11. Avoid eating late in the evening or in the night
